The deadline for filing a claim form in this settlement was August 22, 2016. After this Court-approved date, we cannot accept any more claim forms.
If you weren't entitled to a refund you would have received an email indicating same in September 2016.
If you were entitled to a refund your entitlement cheques were mailed out by the Settlement Administrator in Portland, Oregon on October 14, 2016 and became stale-dated if uncashed by December 14, 2016.
If you need to have a cheque reissued, please complete the Address Confirmation Form on or before July 14, 2017. Replacement cheques will be mailed in mid-August 2017. THIS WILL BE THE LAST REISSUE OF CHEQUES.
We received a few reports of banks refusing to honor the settlement cheques. The entitlement cheques are from a Class Action settlement against The Cash Store/Instaloans in Canada. The Court-appointed Settlement Adminstrator for this settlement is Epiq Systems, Inc. ("Epiq"). Epiq is located in Portland, Oregon, USA and for this reason, the cheques are drawn on the Bank of America. If you encounter issues cashing your settlement cheque, please have the bank contact our office.
Please do not contact our office requesting for loan records or calculations. We cannot provide that information to you. The determination made on your refund amount is final and there is no ability to appeal.
Please keep in mind that the refund payments under this settlement are very low. Moreover, only some loans were eligible for a refund. For details on which loans were eligible for a refund under this settlement, please visit the pages below.
